The Seychelles consists of 158 islands in the Indian Ocean, 1,600 km east of mainland Africa, northeast of the island of Madagascar. Of the better fishing at the outer Islands and Atolls:
Alphonse Island lies 280 miles south west of Mahé Island and covers a triangular land area of 430 acres. The island is surrounded by a coralline lagoon which has evolved over thousands of years from rising corals that thrive on the rich and abundant sea life.
Farquhar Atoll lies approximately 644km southwest of Mahe. It covers an area of 342 km², and is surrounded by large flats of white sand, grass and coral. There is a large lagoon where boats can safely anchor and which lies within easy reach of the flats, where the shallow water gives you the opportunity to sight cast to the incredible array of game fish.
Cosmoledo Atoll lies further on past Farquhar, famous for its spectacular flats with bonefish and GT’s in abundance. Cosmoledo is the one of the most remote fly fishing destinations and is ideal for the fanatical fly fishermen or an extremely enthusiastic novice.
