I’ve been fortunate to have fished the South Islands of New Zealand for trophy browns as well as the Indian Ocean Islands and had some incredible fishing experiences however you haven’t lived until you’ve taken a trophy Tiger on fly at Coborra Bassa. In November 2006 I had the opportunity through Wildfly Travel to visit this great lake and am still to this day amazed at the number of quality fish we landed in four days. More than 250 Tigers fell prey to our Capenta fly patterns, with 20 in excess of 10 pounds and our largest beast tipping the scales at 17 and a half pounds!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you guys for giving me the right fly patterns and showing me exactly how to land a trophy Tiger. Your travel arrangements were seamless and I can’t wait to take some of my mates back to that spectacular piece of water.
